Just in case anyone doubts him, he is going to prove them wrong.
Tuesday night. On the court.
When the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds face the Radford Highlanders in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
The 6-foot-3 redshirt senior guard could be the best player on his team but said he's still got something to prove.
"I feel like I've been overlooked," Hernandez told Daily Voice.
"So every time I'm on the court, I play to the best of my ability."
Last week, Hernandez had the best game of his career against Wagner.
He shined with 32 points and seven rebounds, beating the school 71-61 to win the Northeast Conference Tournament title.
Hernandez is hoping to make history again on Tuesday.
"LIU has never won an NCAA game," he said. "It would be wonderful to be the first."
The game begins at 6:40 p.m. Winner will face Villanova.
